Nitrous Progressive Ramp Comparison

Compare two linear commanded-duty ramps over the same activation window. Time zero is the activation request. Each sequence is: delay at 0%, hold starting duty, ramp to final duty, then hold final duty until cutoff. Ramp A opens with a 1-second hold at 20% before ramping to 100%.

Results

This compares controller commands, not actual nitrous flow, horsepower, AFR or a recommended tune. Solenoid response, PWM frequency, pressure and controller behavior affect delivery. Duty is modeled as zero during delay and after cutoff. Hold time maintains the starting duty before the linear ramp begins; final duty is held until cutoff. A zero-second ramp steps to final duty after the starting hold. Ramp duration excludes delay and hold time.
Formula and assumptions

Ramp begins at delay + starting hold time. During ramp: duty(t) = start + (end − start) × (t − delay − starting hold) ÷ ramp duration. Integrated duty ÷ 100 gives commanded 100%-duty-equivalent seconds, not measured flow.
