Race Fuel Comparison
Compare Fuel Factory, VP Racing, Renegade, and Sunoco side by side. Search 146 fuels, select up to six, and check the manufacturers’ published cross references below.

A cross reference is a manufacturer’s comparison guide, not proof that fuels are identical or a drop-in replacement. Confirm your engine’s requirements, tune, fuel-system compatibility, and class rules before changing fuel.
Manufacturer specifications reviewed November 5, 2026. Published typical values can change; use the linked current spec sheet for your fuel.Build your comparison

Swipe or scroll the tables sideways on smaller screens.
“Not published” means this value was not available in the reviewed catalog. Oxygen percentages are shown as each manufacturer publishes them; a Yes/No entry is not a percentage. Stoichiometric A/F is the chemically balanced mass ratio, not a full-throttle target.
Compare the cross-reference lists
These rows keep each publisher’s matches separate. Search a fuel to see both lists together. A blank (—) means that publisher did not list a match. Names and groupings follow the source, even where a product’s specification lists a different lead status.

Where the lists disagree
- F18 / C16: Fuel Factory v3.1 lists Sunoco MaxNOS. Renegade lists SR18 alongside Pro 120+ and F18 / F NOS.
- F16O / Q16: Fuel Factory pairs F16O with Q16 / RM K16. Renegade pairs RM K16 / Q-16 with F15O and pairs F16O with VP Import / RM Boost. Confirm the exact product with the manufacturer.
- Classic / C9: Fuel Factory lists Classic / C9 / Optima / UTV 93. Renegade pairs Classic with HR93 and lists C9 / Optima with HR P97.
- F E2: Fuel Factory’s chart says Pro E89; Renegade’s chart says Pro E98. The catalog’s fuel blend must be checked; do not treat these names as interchangeable.
- MX PRO: Fuel Factory lists SX4. Renegade places F MX Pro / 2 WL with SX4+. Powersports cross references also span fuels with different lead status.
- F96 UO: Fuel Factory lists Sunoco FR; Renegade lists CF. Both list RM 98.

Renegade current cross-reference charts ↗
VP’s master fuel table and Sunoco’s catalog are specification sources. A current first-party cross-brand chart for either was not verified, so their brand columns above are matches published by Fuel Factory or Renegade, not endorsements from VP or Sunoco.
How to read the numbers
Octane: AKI, MON, and RON
Compare the same test method. AKI is (RON + MON) / 2. Fuel names are not reliable octane ratings. A greater-than sign is retained where published. Some highly oxygenated fuels have estimated octane values; see their source sheets.
Specific gravity and fuel delivery
Specific gravity describes density relative to water. It affects volume-to-mass conversions, while oxygen content and stoichiometric ratio also affect fuel demand. It does not tell you horsepower or the correct tune by itself. Compare the reference temperature on the original sheets.
Changing fuels
Verify lead content, oxygenates, ethanol or methanol content, material compatibility, and race rules with the fuel manufacturer and your tuner. Use lambda and the fuel’s correct stoichiometric ratio when interpreting A/F readings. A cross-reference row does not authorize reusing the same fuel map or jetting.
