Nitrous Oxide Horsepower Gain

Compare measured nitrous and supplemental fuel mass flows.

Starting values are examples. Enter your measurements; results update as you type.

Method & assumptions

Fuel-supported added horsepower = supplemental fuel flow / incremental BSFC. Nitrous contains 16/44 oxygen by mass; equivalent dry-air oxygen uses a 0.232 oxygen mass fraction. Supplemental oxygen-equivalent lambda is not whole-engine lambda and does not predict actual power or jet selection. BSFC and stoichiometric AFR must match the selected fuel; no volume conversion or specific gravity is needed.
