Method & assumptions
Six-speed comparison referenced to sixth gear. Assumes engine torque scales with absolute manifold pressure and the same engine RPM, charge temperature and efficiency in each gear. Ideal boost = ambient × [(1 + reference boost / ambient) × sixth ratio / gear ratio − 1]. Negative values mean boost alone cannot reach the target; displayed boost floors at zero. This is not an ECU-ready calibration or a prediction of traction, wheelies or safe engine load.
